Discover Loutraki - Beaches

BEACHES

The Peloponnese has numerous beaches that offer every visitor the peace, relaxation and beauty they need during their vacation. Enjoy wonderful dives in their crystal clear waters!

Loutraki beach

Loutraki beach has a cosmopolitan flavor, beautiful waters and countless beaches where you can swim in the summer. It is very popular not only with the locals but also with many Athenians, as it is not far from Athens and its sea is still magical today. The water is crystal clear and there are small pebbles on the shores that shimmer in the sun. The sunset is truly breathtaking. So if you want to spend a whole day by the sea, this is the ideal choice.

Lake Vouliagmeni

A natural landscape so rare and special that UNESCO has declared it a Site of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Lake Vouliagmeni may not be very big, but its shimmering turquoise waters are shockingly beautiful. Another special feature is its high salt content and warmth, which makes it possible to swim even after August. Its depth is about 40 meters and its area is covered with sand. It is an ideal destination for relaxation and recreation, but also for fun, as you can enjoy your favorite water sports here. The paradisiacal landscape of Lake Vouliagmeni is also home to the beautiful church of Agios Nikolaos, which is well worth a visit.

Mylokopi beach

If you have always wanted to be on an exotic beach, then Mylokopi beach should be at the top of your list! It used to be a secret gem that few knew about, but over time more and more people visit it every summer. This unique beach consists of two shores: the large Mylokopi and the small Mylokopi. If you are a fan of sand, you should opt for the large one. If you like rocky beaches and their wild beauty, choose the small one. Their waters are beautiful as they have a wonderful turquoise color and the view of the Corinthian Gulf from the shore will uplift you every moment.

However, the infinite beauty of the beach is not only reflected in its shores, but also in its bottom. Those who dive or snorkel choose it for its rich underwater world. Shells, sea urchins and colorful fish are just some of the things you will see when you explore the bottom with a mask. Mylokopi beach is not organized, so you should bring your own umbrella to swim undisturbed. Access is not particularly easy, as the road leading to the coast is difficult, but it is worth visiting because it will offer you a special experience.

Pefkakia beach

The Gulf of Corinth is not only known for beaches surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes, but also for beaches with crystal-clear water. One beach that combines both and has been awarded the Blue Flag is Pefkakia beach. Every summer it is a popular destination for the locals of the area and therefore worth a visit. Its water is so milky and clear that you can see the bottom directly. The sea is surrounded by a beautiful pine-covered area and, combined with the magical goddess of the Saronic Gulf, creates a unique backdrop. Enjoy your favorite cocktail at a beach bar or wait for the sun to dip into the sea to enjoy the beautiful sunset.

Cave of the seal

Another fantastic beach near Loutraki. The Cave of the Seal is truly unique and still a jewel of the Corinthian Gulf. Over time, the sea ate away at the rocks in the area, creating an almost eerie beach inside a cave. Its beauty is complemented by a huge pine forest and many small beaches. If you are looking for a pure, natural landscape of shocking beauty, it is worth a visit despite the difficult access. Many Corinthian seals come here to give birth, which is why it is also part of the Natura 2000 site network.
